Irene & Arthur Foley Scholarship for the École Polytechnique de Montréal
On the left, is M. Jean Baptiste Dromer, recipient of the 2001 Bourse Irene et Arthur Foley. He is now the Director of Operations and Technical Support for Morton Salt / K+S Windsor Salt Limited, formerly the Facilities Manager at the Canadian Salt Mine (Windsor Salt) in Pugwash, Nova Scotia. Photographed on the right, is Mélanie Archambault, recipient of the 2010 Bourse Irene et Arthur Foley. Ms Archambault was recruited by M. Dromer for a summer stage in Pugwash and is now employed in the Canadian head office of Morton Salt / K+S Windsor Salt Limited.
The following is the regional scholarship offered through CIMF:
The Irene and Arthur Foley Scholarship Fund was established in 2000. Each year, two $3,000 awards are granted to two deserving students enrolled in mining engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal. To be eligible, students must complete three semesters and one internship in mining engineering.
